Orchestra Nova to Feature the Bunnells – From the Top
Celebrating San Diego's KPBS – Entertainment at its Best!

Orchestra Nova San Diego, under the leadership of artistic director Jung-Ho Pak, has added the Bunnells to its line-up for what promises to be the most incredibly fun and entertaining concert ever performed by Orchestra Nova as it celebrates San Diego’s own KPBS April 1, 2 and 4.

The Bunnell strings ensemble consists of five talented siblings, ages 16 through 22 and local San Diegans, who exemplify what it means to perform with great artistry and the sheer joy of music-making. Their performance represents the orchestra’s own version of the hit PBS show From the Top which finds local talent and showcases it.

They join noted composer/performer guest BJ Leiderman whose compositions of NPR show theme songs will be featured during the concert.

The repertoire for this performance includes some of the best-known classical music from ages past in addition to favorites by contemporary composers such asLeiderman, Sesame Street’s Raposo and Frontline’s Daring. Most of the theme songs will be performed live for the first time ever.

St. Paul’s Cathedral, Downtown – Friday, April 1, 7:30 p.m.
Irwin M. Jacobs Qualcomm Hall, Sorrento Valley – Saturday, April 2, 7:30 p.m.
Sherwood Auditorium, La Jolla – Monday, April 4, 7:30 p.m.
