Orchestra Nova Presents Classics for Grown-ups in Rancho Santa Fe
Featuring San Diego Opera's Nick Reveles

Orchestra Nova San Diego is announcing Classics for Grown-ups, a delicious luncheon and interesting presentation/discussion featuring San Diego Opera's Nic Reveles and the orchestra's executive director, Tyler Richards Hewes, on Tuesday, May 4, 11 :30 a.m. at the Fairbanks Country Club.

The role of classical music in today's world and Orchestra Nova's exciting vision for the future will be topics of discussion. Mr. Hewes will discuss some “behind-the-scenes” activities of Orchestra Nova and artistic director and conductor Jung-Ho Pak as they implement their new vision. Mr. Revelas will discuss the orchestra's Nova Classics series for the 2010-2011 season and will perform some of the repertoire on the piano.

Dr. Nicolas Reveles, San Diego Opera's Geisel Director of Education, is well-known in the San Diego area for his fascinating, half-hour overviews of the opera's productions on Opera Talk! His presentation will take you on an intriguing journey through the story, music and history of Orchestra Nova's next season.

The luncheon and presentation are open to the public. Tickets are $35 and can be purchased by calling 858-350-0290 . Tickets must be purchased by Friday, April 30.
