Ultimate Broadway Center Pops Concert - Saturday, September 20



San Diego Chamber Orchestra at the California Center for the Arts

The San Diego Chamber Orchestra will continue the wildly successful Center Pops Concert series at the California Center for the Arts, Escondido , with its Ultimate Broadway concert on Saturday, September 20, at 4:00 p.m. The performance will feature the best from legendary geniuses Rodgers and Hammerstein and Andrew Lloyd Webber.the greatest hits of Broadway!

The concert will feature three fabulous New York Broadway singers: Soprano Susan Egan, Tenor Sal Viviano and Bass Michael Maguire.

Susan Egan, Soprano
Susan starred in Broadway as Thoroughly Modern Millie , won critical acclaim as Broadway's (longest-running) Sally Bowles in Cabaret and received a Tony Award and Drama Desk nominations for Best Actress as the original Belle in Disney's Beauty and the Beast. She has also appeared in film and television.

Sal Viviano, Tenor
Sal, a former high school teacher, began his career opening for the comedy greats of the last generation in Chicago . Moving east, he made his Broadway debut in The Three Musketeers , followed by starring roles in several Broadway hits, most recently as Billy Flynn in Chicago . He has also appeared in film and television.

Michael Maguire, Bass
Michael, a former successful broker on Wall Street, won a Tony Award and other awards for his portrayal of Enjolras in Les Miserables, and was featured on the cover of Newsweek. He was a member of the "Dream Cast" of Les Miserables that was broadcast on PBS and around the world. He has also starred in several roles with the New York City Opera and has sung with over two hundred symphonies.
