Jung-Ho Pak Hosts First For the Love of Music Series of the Season
Fourteen-year-old child prodigy Rosinna Grieco, a pianist, will be the first guest at the season’s first For the Love of Music talk show series presented by the San Diego Chamber Orchestra and the Rancho Santa Fe Community Center at The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe on Tuesday, October 7, at 10:00 a.m.
Modeled after the format of the Bravo TV series Inside the Actors Studio, the series is moderated by Jung-Ho Pak, Artistic Director and Conductor of the San Diego Chamber Orchestra, and features a guest on each program. The audience gets the opportunity to ask questions during the last few minutes of the program.
With a level of poise, technical prowess and musicality that’s well beyond her age, Ms. Grieco has the down-to-earth and vibrant personality of a normal, happy teenager, but has had experiences far beyond “the norm” of most teenagers.
Born in San Diego into a musical family of chamber music and opera, she began studying piano at the age of four. After a period of time, “Sina” became the student of Luba Ugorski, an accomplished pianist and teacher from the St. Petersburg Conservatory of Music.
She began performing professionally for the public and winning competitions at the early age of six. She was the youngest winner of The San Diego Symphony Orchestra “Hot Shots” competition in 2003, at the age of eight. In 2004 Sina was invited on the radio show From the Top which spotlights pre-college age musicians throughout the country. She has worked with many renowned pianists and performed with major orchestras in China, Europe and in California.
