Fresh from Sold-out Concert, San Diego Chamber Orchestra Presents the Greatest Baroque Hits Ever
The San Diego Chamber Orchestra, led by Artistic Director, Jung-Ho Pak, opened
the season on October 19 downtown at St. Paul's Cathedral with a sold-out concert, "Mozart:
The Soul of Genius," that ended with a standing ovation for the Orchestra and
guest artist, pianist Andreas Haefliger.
The Orchestra's November Classics Series
concert, "Baroque Pearls," will be performed on Friday, November 9, at St.
Paul's, followed on Monday, November 12, at Sherwood Auditorium in La Jolla,
and Tuesday, November 13, at Del Mar Country Club in Rancho Santa Fe, all at
7:30 p.m.
Some of the most loved and well-known melodies of all time, represented
by seven Baroque composers, will be performed by over thirty Orchestra musicians,
including featured Harpsichordist, Mary Barranger.
The concert will open with
Bach's Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring from Cantata No. 147, and will close with Handel's Hallelujah Chorus from Messiah.

Bach's Air on a G String, Bach's Brandenburg Concerto No. 3, Pachelbel's Canon
in D major, Jeremiah Clarke's Trumpet Voluntary, Remo Giazotto's Adagio
for Violin, Strings and Organ, Jean-Phhillipe Rameaus' Pieces
de Clavecin, Suite in E minor,
Jean-Joseph Mouret's Rondeau for Brass, Strings and Timpani and Handel's Hornpipe from Water Music.
