Concert Venues Downtown San Diego – St. Paul’s Cathedral 2728 Sixth Avenue, San Diego, CA 92103 St. Paul’s Cathedral is at the intersection of Nutmeg and 6th Avenue in downtown San Diego. It is two blocks north of Laurel Street and one block west of Balboa Park. Directions from the North Take the 163S.  Exit University Avenue.  University Avenue turns into 6th Avenue. End at 2728 Sixth Avenue, San Diego. Or Take the I-805S to the 163N.  Exit Quince Street toward Balboa Park.  Turn left on 6th Street.  End at 2728 Sixth Avenue, San Diego. Directions from the South Take the I-805N.  Exit 6th Avenue towards Downtown.  Turn right on 6th Street.  End at 2728 Sixth Avenue, San Diego. Parking Street parking is available or you have the option to park on Balboa Drive in the Park.  Enter the park north of the Cathedral from 5th Avenue either at Quince Street or Upas Street. Immediately bear right on Balboa Drive and proceed south until you are across from the Cathedral.  Within a block of the Cathedral, the parking changes from parallel parking to diagonal parking.  Parking is usually plentiful on this drive and it’s just a short walk across the grass to 5th Avenue and the Cathedral.  There is a crosswalk at the light at 5th and Laurel.
