Jung-Ho Pak has been named artistic director of entertainment for the San Diego Kyoto Prize Symposium Opening Ceremony and Gala on April 20 event, and eighteen of Orchestra Nova's principal musicians will perform with a wonderful array of guest artists.

 

Noted composer and conductor Pierre Boulez, one of this year’s Kyoto Prize winners, will be among those honored.

Tickets on Sales Now - Umi Garrett Benefit Concert

Eight-year old pianist Umi Garrett wowed the world on NBC’s The Ellen DeGeneres Show in May 2009 and she’s all set to wow San Diegans when she will perform in an Orchestra Nova benefit concert on May 21, 2010, at the Neuroscience Institute’s auditorium.

Orchestra Nova’s The Next Star finalist and former child prodigy pianist Hei-och Kim will also perform in the concert.

 

Ticket prices: $75 and $125 (includes reception), with limited youth tickets (13 and under) for $25. To buy tickets: online or call 858-350-0290. Youth tickets can only be purchased by phone.
