Orchestra Nova's 2010-2011 season opens with Mozart's Very Best on October 15, 16 and 18.
We're not just an orchestra. We're a band that plays beautiful music.
Some call our performances theatrical events and some call them concerts. Regardless of what they're called - they're always entertaining! Check out the line-up for this season.

We're off to the races!

|
Orchestra Nova San Diego will celebrate A Day at the Races on Wednesday, September 1, beginning at 12:30 p.m. at the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club in the Star Fiddle Skyroom and the public is invited to join in the fun.
The day's activities will include lunch, musical entertainment, mixing and mingling with friends, a silent auction and, of course, the races! Tickets are $75 and $125. Proceeds from the event will support Orchestra Nova. Susan Christopher, Kathleen Davis and Elsie Weston are chairs for the event. More information.

Good News for Nova

|
It's been a good month for Orchestra Nova with the announcement of funding from three grants:
$50,000 Community Enhancement grant
Funded by the County Board of Supervisors at the recommendation of Supervisor Pam Slater-Price.
$10,000 National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) grant
Funding for recording and broadcasting performances on the Internet.
$2,000 Community Enhancement grant
Funded by the County Board of Supervisors at the recommendation of Supervisor Ron Roberts.

Nova Picks
|
|
Nova Picks is a new service we're offering our Nova supporters. A Nova pick might be a restaurant, an event, a museum opening or maybe something totally off the wall! It's our hope that our pick will bring you a little piece of joy that you might not otherwise experience!
This month, our pick is THE CONCERT, a movie featuring Mélanie Laurent and Alexei Guskov. It will begin playing in San Diego theatres on August 6. Don't miss it!
