Handel's Messiah + Great Works of Art = An Extraordinary Experience
Orchestra Nova San Diego and Bach Collegium San Diego will perform Handel's Messiah Thursday, Friday and Saturday this week in three local churches, the only performances in San Diego this year by professional musicans.
Members of the audiences will be treated to a truly unique and extraordinary experience as the orchestra and chorus, conducted by Maestro Pak, present an 18th century re-creation of this oratorio complemented with a video of 26 masterpieces of art. Alexander Jarman from the San Diego Museum of Art will join Maestro Pak after each performance to discuss the selections of art and its relevance to the music.
Spanish translations of the libretto of Messiah will be available.
